How to nominate 

To make or update your nominations, simply log into your myRPS account. Or you can register for an account if you don’t already have one. 

Why nominate? 

Making a nomination lets the Trustee know who you’d like a cash lump sum to be paid to if you die before claiming your benefits (or within five years or taking them). The cash lump sum can be up to 4 times your pensionable salary, depending on the rules of the Section you’re a member of.
